Title: Obituary of Alfred Royal Bradford

Description: Lieutenant Alfred R. Bradford, Cambridgeshire Regiment, was the eldest son of Mr. M. D. Bradford, of Brooklands House, The Avenue, ambridge. He was educated at Mr. R. A. A. Beresford's Preparatory School, Hunstanton, and Bedford School, where he obtained his colours in the first cricket eleven in 1911 and 1912, being vice captain in the latter year. He was also a member of the School O.T.C. On leaving school he spent two years in Switzerland and France with a view to joining his father in business at Cambridge. On the outbreak of war he enlisted in the Public Schools Brigade, from which he obtained a commission in the Cambridge Regiment on May 4th, 1915. He went to the front in July of the same year, and was promoted Lieutenant and machine-gun officer. He fell on October 14th, aged 22. —The Times.
