Title: Gravestone, St Mary's, Old Hunstanton, Norfolk

Description: CWGC Headstone 7223 Corporal C S Wales Army Pay Corps (died) 24th February 1919 Aged 36. This information is also recorded in CWGC online Archive which shows the actual Register. However, at the time of writing (24 July 2016) the CWGC Certificate says died 24th February 1918. I have contacted them to point out the error.

Title: Wales Family Gravestone, St Mary's Old Hunstanton.

Description: The Grave of Arthur & Mary Elizabeth Wales, parents of Charles Samuel. It is adjacent to his CWGC Grave. He is also remembered on their memorial which notes that he died at Canterbury Military Hospital. Soldiers Effects (Ancestry) says at No1 Military Hospital, Canterbury, no cause given.

Known as Charles Samuel of Charles S on Censuses & all other records. A Grocer's Assistant in Downham Market in 1901. A Fishmonger's Clerk boarding in Chiswick 1911. Medal Card found - British War & Victory Medals - Deceased 24.2.19. All of these facts found on 'Ancestry'.
