This is the only known photograph of William Wilgose (1879 - 1942), probably taken in 1916. He is on the far left. The soldiers are wearing ‘hospital blues’, a uniform that was issued to the convalescing wounded. This scene must have been in Britain or Ireland, but it is not known where.
