Reginal James Young 1893-1919Battle of the Somme - Serving as Adjutant of the 2nd Battalion, The Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex) Regiment. Wounded in the assault at Orvilliers - 'although badly wounded he continued his fine work until wounded again'... Awarded the Military Cross for 'conspicuous gallantry during an attack'... 'one of the first to enter an enemy trench, displaying great coolness in encouraging men to throw bombs while he himself accounted for several of the enemy with his revolver'
