Description: Medal index cards were created by the Army Medal Office towards the end of the First World War. They record the medals that men and women who served in the First World War were entitled to claim.

Title: Picture and medals of Dvr Robinson

Description: The picture (he is at the centre with a pipe) was taken whilst he served with the Inniskilling Fusiliers in the Boar War, includes his Boar War medlas. He moved to Austrlaia from Belfast in 1914, and joined the Australian Army Service Corps as a Driver. He was awarded the Military Medal shown in 1916 for valour delivering engineer supplies under heavy German artillery fire. He died in the late 1950s in Australia.

Additional: This is my great grandfather. The medals and picture were passed to me by my mother. I looked up his war records at the Australian War Memorial. I also have his British Army records.
