Ernest Bell wounded at Beaumont HamelReport in Surrey Advertiser 24.1.1917. This was Ernest's third wounding. GSW (gun shot wound) penetrating right lung & breaking two ribs. He was struck by our own shrapnel bullet which penetrated the thorax between the ribs. 10th rib fractured. effects still very severe, expect incapacitated for military duty 3½ monthsContributed by:
