Title: The Full Story

Description: Henry was always very close to his youngest sister Bessie. Before Henry went to France he gave her a silk embroidered postcard with the words "Forget me not" and a little card saying "My thoughts are always with you". Henry never returned and all her life Bessie kept these mementos and a newspaper cutting of her brother's death. She died in 1971 at the age of 81. These mementos are now kept safely by the Broome family.

Title: Fighting side by side

Description: The backgroun d image of a British Mk 1 Tank making its first appearance on the battlefield at Flers/Courcelette where the Brothers Broome fought alongside one another. Arthur being wounded on the second day and invallided back to the UK within four days. The battle field would have been the last time the brothers saw one another.
