Article about the funeral of Walter Whitbread

From The Bedfordshire Times and Independent on Friday 19th April 1918. Obtained by myself from britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk. Transcription: The remains of the late Mr. W. Whitbread were interred in the Parish Churchyard on Saturday, the Rev. A. R. Johnson officiating. The breast-plate bore the inscription, "Walter Whitbread, died April 9th, 1918, aged 39." Amongst the mourners were Mrs. W. Whitbread (wife), Jim, Emily, Charlie and Kate (children), Mr. C. Whitbread (father), Mr. G. W. Whitbread (brother), Mesdames S. Sparkes, C. Huckle, and A. Whitbread (sisters), Mrs. George (niece), Mr. A. Brinsley (nephew), Mr. J. Bunker (father-in-law), Messrs. G. and A. Bunker (brothers-in-law), Mesdames P. Burridge, S. Copperwheat and A. Faulkner (sisters-in-law). There were many beautiful floral tributes from relatives and friends.
