Sitting in a chair is Q.M. and Lieut. is M Clark.Sitting in the chair is Quarter Master and Lieutenant W. Clark of the 9th Battalion Black Watch Royal Highlanders. He went to France with the 9th Battalion on 7th July, 1915. Awarded M.C. 28th November 1916. He was mentioned in Despatches 5th January 1917. truck off Strength 30th June 1917. Promoted Captain 9th September 1917. This information is in my books called "A History Of The Black Watch [Royal Highlanders] in the Great War, 1914-1918.
