I believe this photo dates from c. 1932 and was taken at RAF Halton.

New recruits to the RFC 1913.

I believe this photo was taken in 1913 around the time of the formation of the RFC. The men were recruited from military units all over the UK but the RFC did not yet have their own uniform. This is why the men are all wearing different ones. My grandfather, Victor Callus, is thought to be 3rd from right on the motorbike next to his friend sporting the bearskin.
