Three Canadian gravesFrom Collections Canada: A Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry soldier appears to be tending the graves of his deceased comrades, all killed July 5th, 1917. The temporary crosses are decorated with the P.P.C.L.I. regimental badge. From left to right, the graves contain the remains of: Capt. Percival Molson, M.C. (Military Cross) of Montreal, QC; Lt. Donald Maclean, Mentioned in Dispatches; and Pvt. Oscar Harold Bulmer (service no. 817018) a labourer from Cherryfield, NB.

Donald MacleanFrom the McGill University roll of honour: DONALD McLEAN, Arts, 1912-13. Born at Valleyfield, P.E.I., September 18th, 1890. Enlisted, March 24th, 1915, in the 1st Universities Company, 38th Battalion, C.E.F. Transferred to the P.P.C.L.L Promoted to Lieutenant. Wounded December 6th, 1916. Killed in action at Avion, July 5th, 1917. Mentioned in despatches.
