Memorial Stone, Parish Churchyard, Mulbarton, N'fkBuried in this grave is Charlotte Elizabeth Potter nee Stebbings, died 5th Dec. 1916. She was James' cousin. He also died 5th Dec. 1916 & there is an inscription in his Memory on the lower half of this gravestone.

Inscription'Cpl or L/Cpl James Stebbings Killed in France Dec. 5th 1916, aged 31yrs. SLEEP ON DEAR ONE IN THY FAR OFF GRAVE / THAT GRAVE THAT WE MAY NEVER SEE / BUT AS LONG AS LIFE AND MEMORY LAST / WE WILL REMEMBER THEE'. Official records list him as a Private, 5th Bn. Canadian Infantry
