Additional: The official copy marriage certificate of Bill West's second marriage in 1939 to Martha Maria Stratford states that he had obtained a divorce from Florence Ethel West (formerly Dobby), his first wife . This source records that divorce , William West's full name and Florence Ethel West's given names match and the divorce is recorded in the period between his first and second marriage .

Additional: I know from family oral history and discussions with Bill West and official documents that he went to Quebec , Canada between 1911 when he appeared on the UK census and 1915 when he attested for the Canadian expeditionary force .This is the only record that matches names dates , and destination .
