Canadian Memorial CrossThe Memorial Cross was fashioned of sterling silver and impressed on the reverse with the soldier's service number, rank, name and (if any) post-nominals designating received honours. Crosses were sent to a deceased soldier's mother (if she was still alive) and to his wife (if he was married).
