This is the possible site of Willie's death.

War Memorial in Buckie, Banffshire.

It is in the form of a massive sandstone pedestal base with panels bearing bronze plaques of names. This is surmounted by 2 bronze figures: a kneeling Royal Navy Reservist in front of a bare headed Gordon Highlander bearing a colour with rifle slung over one shoulder. The Burgh arms appear on the front face.
