Badshot Lea War MemorialWilliam Hunt, an old boy of Badshot Lea School, is listed on this memorial.. It is unusual in that it is on the school wall. This is because of a dispute between the C of E and the Primitive Methodists over its location. The school was a compromise.

Coolhurst Cottage and the Working Men's ClubAs a school boy, William Hunt lived in the house on the left of the school. While at school he was awarded a nautical scholarship in July 1905. He was a trained diver on Black Prince, when she was blown up and lost with all hands at Jutland.Contributed by:
