Description: Hubert was a career Royal Naval Seaman joining up for 12 years on his 18th birthday in 1913. His cap shows him serving on HMS Valiant. The name of the photographer is very feint on the front of the photo but Oxford can be seen as the place it was taken. The family home was in Didcot.
