  • French Cemetery Angus Anthony was buried
    A black and white postcard photograph showing a sea of crosses behind two tall trees up some steps at the front of the cemetery, a tall Crucifix is sited at the entrance, and an Army lorry with canvas top sits on the road to the right below. on the back of the photograph it says: No. 1 Entrance to the Military Cemetery at FLESQUIERES, near Cambrai, France.

    A black and white photograph of the grave of Angus Scott Anthony, brother of the photographer William Anthony, Royal Engineers at FLESQUIERES Cemetery. William had the white cross especially made to take there. A J Hellens, who he is buried next to, also died in the attack on their tank. A ruined mill and stripped trees in the background show the battle scene.
