Edward Aneurin Lewis 1919This is my grandfather in his first year at the University College of Wales at Aberystwyth, the year after his war service. He eventually received his doctorate and went to Kenya in 1930 where he was an entomologist and chief field zoologist at the Veterinary Research Laboratory at Kabete. He eventually became the director of the East African Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Research and Reclamation Organisation. After leaving Kenya in 1955, he worked as a consultant with the World Health Organization.
