Burroughs, Hesketh and Ditchfield Families
Photograph taken at Moreton on the Wirral. The family in front of the tent made by Samuel Hesketh. Sam is sitting front right between two ladies with a child on his lap. William John Burroughs is standing at the back in the middle between two men. The family then bought a railway carriage which they had moved there and used it like a caravan. With the adults sleeping in the carriage and the children sleeping in the tent. The tent became the dining room during the day. Samuel Hesketh took William Johns son Albert William Burroughs (my father) fishing off the sea wall and what they caught they ate that night.
