Uncle Cyril and Granddad RegCyril married Reg Layton's sister Doris. Reg, my granddad, died in the 70's when I was too young to really remember him, but Uncle Cyril lasted another decade and I remember him very well. I don't remember Doris unfortunately. Reg was a gunner (RA) in the 8th Army in WWII, most notably at Monte Cassino and Sicily. He survived but suffered, never talked about the war, and died prematurely with blood problems.Contributed by:
