Beachy Head World War IThe Beachy Head- a ship my great grandfather was on for 12 months bringing supplies to the Dardanelles outside Gallipoli during WWI. It was sunk shortly after by the Germans in Marseilles harbour and he had to make his way back to UK overland according to a postcard sent to my grandmother Ethel Camp Batchen from her husband George Batchen.
