2nd Lt. James Benson had no known grave following the Battle of Fromelles in 1916, but excavations in 2008 and subsequent DNA testing ascertained his identity. Re-buried during 2010.

Second Lieutenant James Benson of the AIFSecond Lieutenant Benson's identity was confirmed in May 2016. He is buried at Pheasant Wood Military Cemetery Fromelles.
