Private Reid had no known grave after the Battle of Fromelles, but excavations in 2009 and subsequent DNA testing ascertained his identity. Re-buried during 2010.

Dedication Ceremony at Pheasant Wood CemeteryA small boy assists at a re-dedication ceremony. Private Maurice Leslie Reid was also laid to rest here 94 years after he was killed in action at the Battle of Fromelles.
