Private Ridler had no known grave after the Battle of Fromelles in 1916, but excavations in 2009 and subsequent DNA testing ascertained his identity. Re-buried during 2010.

Royal British Legion Standard BearersThis was the scene at Pheasant Wood Cemetery in February 2010 when the lost soldiers of Fromelles were re-buried. Private Ridler was also re-buried here during the same year.
