above Act for the Districts of the Blandford, Bridport, Dorchester, Ringwood, Lymington, Poole and Bournemouth, Wareham, Weymouth,
and Wimborne Minster County Courts (Circuit No. 55), in place of J. A. Hosker, Esq., M.R.C.S. (resigned) and W. B. Cosens, Esq., M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P. (resigned).

Title: Dorset County Hospital 100 years ago – what the papers said
Description: In June the hospital’s horse-drawn ambulance was converted into a motor-ambulance by Messrs. M. H. TILLEY & Sons’ Motor Garage in Trinity Street. Funds for the conversion had been raised by Dr. W. B. COSENS, the hospital’s honorary surgeon who was also the medical officer of the local prisoner of war camp (Western Gazette, 2 June 1916, page 2).
