Part of a letter from Stanley Ginn to his sister (Ada) Alice whilst posted in Mauritius with H Company 2nd Battalion Hampshire Regiment. He mentions his brother Bert (Herbert) who was in same regiment. He also mentions he will be 22 that month, June 1912. Contains a sketch of his arm showing stripe, 'guns' and GC Badge.

Image of Marriage Certificate between Stanley William Ginn and Ella Adey Galland which took place in the parish church in Barnes, Surrey, on June 30th 1919. Stanley is a Captain in the Army and place of residence in Clipston Camp Nottinghamshire. The Certificate is signed as a witness by John Braga Callander (see his Life record)

Silver School Attendance Medal awarded to Stanley W Ginn. Obverse side inscribed "Stanley W. Ginn 1899 1901". Reverse side inscribed "For Regular Attendance" flanked by leaf motif, and silver hallmarks. In a maroon coloured presentation case, also inside a torn handwritten note which says "Stanley Ginns Silver for regular attendance without which his mother would have been unable to obtain one free loaf of bread". Stanley went to school in Hyde, Winchester, Hampshire.

In Memorium Notice in Local Paper which says : GINN – In ever loving memory of Capt. Stanley W. Ginn, 2nd Batt. East Yorkshire Regiment, late 2nd Hants Regt., accidentally drowned on August 21st, 1921, in the Tigris Mesopotamia : also of Bandsman Herbert John Ginn (Bert), 2nd Batt. Hants Regt., who died of wounds received at the Dardanelles on August 23rd 1915. – From their loving Mother and family, 9, Canton Street, Southampton.
