Description: Accepted by CWGC to be added to their WW1 War Dead Roll on 16th December 2016.
Initially added to the United Kingdom Book of Remembrance, CWGC announced in August 2018 that this commemoration had been transferred to the Brookwood 1914-1918 Memorial.
(The UK Book of Remembrance commemorates UK casualties not formerly recorded by the CWGC. People remembered here are commemorated only by their database and register entry, while the CWGC continues to investigate grave location details. When a casualty’s grave is located and verified, commemoration moves to the burial site.
Periodically, names in the Book which have defied grave finding are transferred to the Brookwood 1914-1918 Memorial, which is a memorial to the missing that commemorates casualties with no known grave. Investigative work on these casualties continues and this may lead to the identification of their burial locations, and when a casualty’s grave is located and verified, commemoration will move to the burial site.)
Additional: Record used as "seed data" for this Life Story.
