Soldiers at Ashridge Auxiliary Hospital during WDuring the First World War, Ashridge House near Berkhamsted, Herts was used as an auxiliary hospital and convalescent home for troops. This was controlled by St Albans Hospital and mainly staffed by the Red Cross. The photo shows convalescent soldiers relaxing on the grass outside the front of the House.

Mary Saw's Grave in Little Gaddesden Churchyard2019 photo of the grave of Mary Saw and her sister Emma Saw in the Old Churchyard of SS Peter and Paul Church, Little Gaddesden (Plot 137). The inscription at the base of the cross reads: "In loving memory of/ Mary Saw/ born Feb 21st 1851, died Oct 30th 1928/ Underneath are the everlasting arms/ also of/ Emma Saw/ born Sept 25th 1854, died June 10th 1942/ Rest in the Lord."Contributed by:
