Memorial PlaqueThis plaque is in the parish church in Scawby and was erected by his wife. It records his date of birth as 27 September 1880 and date of death 10 February 1918 at Tincourt, France as a result of an accident. It also records that has was a "Chevalier de la legion d'honneur" and that he served in the South African War.
