Description: 100 Years Commemorations on The Somme. On the 18th of October 2016 I was visiting the Somme battlefields and attended the small commemoration service at the memorial.

Title: Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.

Description: Between the 1st July and 18th November 2016 (141 days the Somme battle lasted) the Royal British Legion, during the midday service, would allow members of the public to lay down commemorative wreaths or crosses to remember an ancestor that was lost on the Somme. I placed this wreath on the memorial in memory of cousin George.
