Death Certificate Thomas CoeThomas was discharged from the army as physically unfit on 22 May 1918, due to 'valvular disease of the heart'. He died 7 months later at Beckett Hospital, Barnsley, from heart disease.

Silver badgeIn the absence of a photograph of Thomas, this is a picture of the silver badge which we know he received following his discharge from the army due to injuries sustained after fighting at the front. Sadly, he died in December 1918, 7 months after his discharge.
