Landing in Mesopotamia 25/10/15 he will have been with the 1/4th Bn under siege inside Kut el Amara 7/12/15-29/4/16. When the starving garrison surrendered to the Turkish he became a PoW but was immediately exchanged (presumably very sick) . He was sent down river and on to India where he died.
