Regulations for the “Harry Thornton Pickles” post-graduate studentship in history at Manchester University have been framed and approved by the Council. Founded by Mr. Stephen Pickles, of Barnoldswick, in memory of his son, Lieut. H. T. Pickles, M.A., L.L.B, a graduate and Lecturer in Law of the University, who was killed in the war, the studentship is of the value of £50 and will be offered every two years. It is open to competition by members of the University, and also by candidates who have studied history in any other approved university or college.
