Robert Henry Froggatt was born on 18 Oct 1887, the third son of William and Emma Froggatt, then living on Stake Lane, Holmfirth. At the time of the 1911 census, Robert was 23 and had been married for less than a year to his wife Beatrice who was born in Langsett. Robert’s occupation then was shown as a domestic coachman, like his father before him. Robert enlisted in 13 Bn Yorkshire Regiment on 19 September 1916. He subsequently transferred to the Royal Fusiliers. We have no further knowledge of his life or military service. Robert died at Hill, Holmfirth on 11 September 1920 aged 33 years.
