Newspaper entry : In Memoriam GEORGE COLTAR, son of the late Capt. Benjamin Coltar, of Cowes, in command of the s.s. Whitgift, perished with his ship, which was sunk by a German submarine in the Bay of Biscay, April 20th 1916.
