Victor Manson Spencer Pardoned

Victor Manson Spencer was formally pardoned under the provisions of the Pardon for Soldiers of the Great War Act 2000, which was passed by the New Zealand Parliament. In 2005 his family were given the 1914 - 1915 Star, the British War Medal, Victory Medal, New Zealand Certificate of Honour and Anzac Commemorative Medallion that he was entitled to. In 2007 members of his family attended a memorial service at his grave in The Huts Cemetery. Another executed soldier, Private Henry Hughes, is buried nearby in the same cemetery.
