Bdr Davie Andrew: There was none of us at home, but thought he would survive the war.

Bdr Davie Andrew: There was none of us at home, but thought he would survive the war.

“We received your letter of condolence, at the death of our brother, dated the 27th. I beg to thank you, on behalf of Mother and family, for your kind letter of sympathy. No words of mine can convey to you, the deep gratitude which we feel towards you for your kindness, at this time. There was none of us at home, but thought he would survive the war. I would still further impose on your generosity, by asking you to give the enclosed note to Davie’s friend, the H Austin mentioned in your letter. Again offering you our gratitude for all you have done, I remain, Yours Gratefully, William Andrew.”
