Richard was awarded the Victory Medal, British War Medal and the 1915 Star. The medal rolls card records K in A - Killed in Action. He was only 25 and he died on the 9th April 1917 which was the first day of the Battles of Arras whilst serving as Pte. 41503 with the Northumberland Fusiliers 24th btn. (Tynside Irish) He is remembered on the Bailleul Road East Cemetery, 1.C 38 - St. Laurent-Blangy, Pas de Calais, France. The military records spell Webber with 2 b's where as his birth certificate has one 'b'. Richard had previously served with the KOYLI - stands for - Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry his no. 23647
