Dear Ann & Alex, Just a few lines in answer to your letter which I had quite safe. I was glad to hear that you are all in the best of health the same as it leaves me. I am sorry to let you know that I have not seen Tommy Gates for a long time but as soon as I do I will let him know what you told me. Well I was glad to read in your letter that you are having lovely weather now as you can do with it now. We can’t grumble at the weather we get out here to as it is grand. How is Seth and Gwyneth getting on tell them that I shall send them just one (PC) to them both as I know they should like to hear from me. Was it Tommy Gates’ brother Jim you meant was out here as I don’t think Tom knows anything but I heard that George Henry Thomas was out here too, so if that is the case all Talbot Terrace are out here. Well that is no disgrace is it? If you are sending me anything send me cigarettes. Well I have no more news to tell you. With my best luck to you all, From Sam
