Brisco Francis MacSwiney, second son of the late Lieut.-Col. Eugene V MacSwiney, was killed in action at Hooge, Flanders, on June 16th 1915. He entered the school in 1900 and left in 1901. At the outbreak of war he was in the Royal Insurance Company, and had for six years been in the Cheshire Engineers. He at once enlisted in the Liverpool Scottish and served with them in the early days of the war, being thus entitled to the Mons 'ribbon' and medal for 1914.
