Lives of the First World War

6th August 1915

When looking through Robert's few remaining possessions, I came across a poem in his notebook, which describes the landings at Suvla Bay in August 1915. I cannot trace the poem to any known poet, therefore assume it is safe to attribute the poem to my great-grandfather. It was the only poem in a notebook that otherwise contained only technical information relating to electrical currents, signalling and ciphers.
