The funeral of Mr. Frank Foulkes, an apprentice pilot, of Liverpool, youngest son of Mrs. Ada M. Foulkes, of No. 104 Rosslyn-street, Aigburth, who lost his life through the sinking of one of his Majesty's ships on the 28th ult., took place yesterday, at St. James's Cemetery. The service was conducted by the Rev. R. F. Winter. The chief mourners were Mr. Robert Foulkes (brother), Mr. Robert Foulkes, Mr. Arthur Fowler, and Mr. John Davies (uncles), Mr. Robert Foulkes and Mr. Richard Rushton (cousins), and Mrs. Fowler (aunt). There were also present Messrs. Edward Coles Wheeler, Superintendent of the Pilot Department, Mersey Docks and Harbour Board; Lieutenant Riddock, Mersey Defences; Lieutenant Gerrard, Nurse Gerrard,Waterloo Park Military Hospital; Kenneth Wallace, Charles Foale (C.O. 216 Transport), George Meadows, Frank Foulkes, T. H. Porter, Captain Davies, Captain Jones, and Messrs. M. Fellows, James Burns, Charles Norman, and William Evans, school fellows at Tiber-street Council School. The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Messrs. Thomas Porter and Sons, of Toxteth Park, Liverpool.
