The Sinking of Hanna Larsen

William Arthur was an Able Seaman in the Mercantile Marine on board the S.S. "Hanna Larsen" (London), travelling from London to the Tyne to collect a cargo of coal, when it was stopped and shelled by U-39, four men were wounded including William, whose wounds proved fatal. The ship was then boarded and scuttled by the German submariners.
