The 20th Battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers, The 4th Salford Pals (Bantams)
The 4th Salford Pals to Conway on the 31st of July, 1915, then Parkhouse Camp, Cholderton, Salisbury Plain, 14th August 1915, landed at Le Havre 30th January 1916 and travelled by rail up the coast to Bolougne via Abbeville and Etaples. They travelled by rail to Esquerdes where they began their march to Richebourg and the front opposite Neuve Chapelle.
