"THE ROLL OF HONOUR. FLIGHT-LIEUT. LEONARD S. MORCK, R.A.F., who received fatal injuries in a flying accident, was the second son of the late Mr. Axel Morck, timber merchant and shipbroker, Sunderland. Educated at Argyle House School and the Bede collegiate School, Sunderland, he was in Barclay's Bank, Hetton-le-Hole, co. Durham, prior to joining the Army in June last year. He was transferred to the R.F.C. and gazetted lieutenant in the following December. On Friday last the engine of his airplane missed fire, and as the machine was being brought down, it caught fire. The observer was burned to death, and Lieut. Morck died six days later."
