Private Job Harrison, only son of Mr Joseph Harrison of Orrell Lane, Burscough, was killed in action in France. He was attached to the King's Liverpool Regiment and was 20 years of age. Before enlisting he was a clerk at the offices of the Latham and Burscough Urban District Council
