Died in France on Thursday 9 March 1916 he was 25 years of age. Samuel is buried in Rue-Du-Bacquerot No. 1 Military Cemetery, Laventie in Grave II.F.1 and is also commemorated on the Walsall Roll of Honour, Bloxwich Roll of Honour and All Saints Church Roll of Honour.Bloxwich.
