4156 Private Samuel Harris of C Company, the 3/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters was admitted to the military hospital at Grantham on Friday 18 February 1916, and died just 8 days later, on Friday 25 February 1916. The record (including his treatment) reads: “Died 7.10am 25/02/16, Double Pneumonia: Oxygen inhalations, stimulants, reg[ular?]. Died of heart failure.” Samuel would have been 39 when he died.
