Three Fighting Cork Lads

John O Connell was one of 3 brothers from Cork City , Ireland who fought in WW1. His brother David O Connell ( Royal Dubin Fusilliers), 5791 & Patrick O Connell (Royal Nay Seaman), K22532. David was wounded in Dardanelles but survived the war. John was killed in Ypres, France on 14th October 1918 & is buried at the Zantvoorde British cemetery. Patrick's story is unknown as his service records were destroyed. An article was put in the local newspaper titled " Three fighting Cork Lads".
